Showing Leadership #10

This week I have shown leadership when a boy in my class was on holiday, and couldn't attend his library duty, so I volunteered to fill in for him,  on Thursday I went to the library which is behind room eight and seven, I put a lot of books back onto the shelf which took quite a long time, then I got to start scanning some books I had one issue it was that a little girl was trying to get a book out when she knew she wasn't aloud luckily I know that people a certain age can only get books out when there class comes. I have shown the Care Values Community and Excellence, I have also shown the leadership trait Trustworthy because Mrs Ward trusted me to make sure that people don't do things that they know there not supposed to do.

Showing Leadership #9

This week I have proved to shown leadership when I thought that I wouldn't finish my SML (self managed learning) and, would be in zone four I persevered and did it in my own time, the thing that I had finish was my reading follow up, we had to finish reading our novel mine is called run it was about a girl called Victoria and she get's Polio which is a disease which makes your body paralised, I also had to finish a vocabulary task which is when you had to get some words from your book that you don't understand and find the meaning we had to find a total of ten words. I have shown the CARE values Active Thinking and Excellence, I have also shown the leadership trait I have shown is Active Thinking because I thought of a solution to my problem.

Careers Education C.V. Writing

In CAREERS EDUCATION we have been learning to write a skills based Curriculum Vitae.

A skills based C.V. focuses more on the skills that we have,  rather than our work history.

Here is a link to our online Modelling Book that shows the process we have followed.

Three things that I have learned about writing a Curriculum Vitae are:

  1. How to write one
      2. What you have to write on one
3. What skills I have that I can write on my Curriculum Vitae

Showing Leadership #8

This week I contributed to the school because some junior classes wanted some help scanning some books for there class so me and Charlotte volunteered because the other librarians were either on holiday or at the cross country competition, so at 1:30 straight after lunch we go to the library and help the juniors, sometimes it can be frustrating because when you ask them if they want to return the book or get it out you can't hear them, I have shown the CARE values Excellence and Community, I have also shown the leadership trait Active-Thinking because I could see that they needed some help so I volunteered.

Showing Leadership #5

This week I have shown leadership at lunch time after we had been to the library to return some books,  me and my friend went to see if jump jam was on but when we went we saw that there was hardly anyone there so we decided to join in, when we managed to get a pozi to give to our house colour mine is Rata and my friend is Rata, when we were there, there was some people being silly and they were screaming and shouting so they were asked to leave by the PAL that was running the jump jam and Mrs Martin, I have shown the CARE values Community and Respect because I was respecting the PAL and Mrs Martin because I wasn't screaming or shouting, I have also shown the leadership trait Active thinking because we saw that there wasn't that many people doing it so we joined in.

Key Leadership #5

This week in the library me and my partner put the books back on the shelves then we went to scan the books but before we did Mrs Ward told us that we had to be careful because she has just got a brand new scanner, so we had to keep it on it's stand unless we were using it. After the library had closed Mrs Ward had to go help in the office because the lady that was normally there wasn't, while she was there we were aloud to stay in the library, I have shown the CARE values Excellence and Active Thinking, the leadership trait I have shown was Trustworthy because Mrs Ward trusted us enough to leave us in there by ourselves.
