My Run Bike Run Journey

It was a scorching hot day and the Kauri team decided to have there run,bike,run.

Some people did it in groups of two or three I did it in a group with Charlotte,Riley and some people did it individually wow that would be difficult.

We did it on the 21st of March 2016.

We all did it by going around the Domain the bikers did way more than the runners but the run was humongous to I got so puffed and exhausted it was very difficult but we all finished which was the main thing.

While people were doing there races there were games that you had to play it was french cricket and tricky tag.

When I was doing the run I felt like I was going to faint but I knew I had to bolt to the finish line after I passed the finish line I felt like all of the life was getting sucked out of me but i was happy and mind blown that I finished.

We did it for fun,fitness and to see who was going to Ruapuna for zones and possibly Canterbury's.

What: We  had to write a character web about Tim one of the characters from a book called The Big Jump. It's  about a boy called Tim and he is in Waipara. There was a big flying fox and there was someone called Big Daddy who was scared to go down , so Tim suggested to go down together. Then I drew a picture of Tim, then I wrote ideas about Tim's personality.

Flag Referendum

In my opinion I strongly think that New Zealand should change the flag.

The most important reason I think the New Zealand flag should change is because our flag is just too similar to Australia's flag and we've had it for a long time and it's time for a change. If we change the flag they probably won’t copy us because I don’t think they will want a silver fern on their flag because a silver fern is native to New Zealand and it only grows in New Zealand.

Secondly, all the people who died in the war have a silver fern on their headstones  not the Union Jack. We need to stand on our own two feet and ditch the Union Jack .The new option represents the New Zealand way more than the old one.

Lastly, I think we really need the silver fern on our flag because it represents our sports teams, it represents the All Blacks and the Silver Ferns and we are not the same country as Australia.

In conclusion, I strongly think New Zealand should change the flag.

                         Reflections on Waipara Camp

                                WALT work together as a group/team

                                 WALT challenge ourselves to take risks

                      My team worked together by collaborating when we were making rafts, we worked together by encouraging each other. We had  fun and we came 2nd which is pretty good I think.

I took a risk by trying to run along all the canoes I fell off but I climbed back on and I did it .I also took a risk by going down the water slide because it looked like it was pretty easy to fall off but in the end it was really fun.
